My very picky stinky slinkies LOVE it.

One of my ferrets is sadly OBSESSED with Marshalls food it took us forever to get him off of the Marshalls kibble but he wouldn’t give up the the soup we tried to transition him off of it by mixing a tiny bit of the Marshalls soup with Stella and Chewy but he wasn’t having it. He cannot get enough of the Dook Soup mixed with Stella freeze dried, he licks his bowl clean and then cleans everyone else’s bowls when he is done! It has also helped us get our new rescue to eat because we didn’t know what food she was eating before we had her. I feel so much better about providing the right food for them now.

Absolutely love the coat oil

Absolutely love the coat oil. We have three stinky slinkies one of which we just rescued from being abandoned in a college apartment after everyone moved home. Her fur was very coarse had a few bald spots and very itchy flaky skin. This oil has helped tremendously already! One of our boys is also constantly itching and this has helped him as well! I’m so thankful to have found a company that makes the right products for ferrets.

A 2 oz bag used to be a solid chicken breast

A 2 oz bag used to be a solid dehydrated chicken breast fillet. Now it’s a few 1/2 inch chunks and 1.5 oz of crumbs that my ferrets won’t eat. Good thing I took in a starving Mama cat and her kitten. They eat it no question.

Thanks for the honest review, and I'm sorry the bag you got was mostly crumbs and small chunks. That's not the chicken breast treat we want going out the door.
The cutting on these is handled by our supplier, and the broken-up pieces you described are exactly the kind of thing we've flagged with them to tighten up. Good news is we've moved back to the larger solid-cut pieces, so future bags should look a lot more like the solid fillet you remember. Sweet of you to put it to good use with your rescue mama cat and her kitten, but you and your floofs should've gotten a bag worth eating.

My ferrets didn't seem to like the food or want

My ferrets didn't seem to like the food or want to try it, they are very picky as well so I wasted $30 for nothing they wasted all of the food :/ I was trying to help them gain some weight as they are underweight but it didn't seem to work out.

Hi Yanissa, I'm sorry to hear the ferret food didn't meet your expectations. Picky eaters can be tricky, but we're here to help! Feel free to reach out if you'd like some alternative suggestions or assistance. In our experience and in speaking with other customers it can take a couple of weeks of trying different techniques to get them to realize how much they really like it! Great product!

Giving this product five stars because it’s healthy, comes nicely packaged and it’s fresh. Plus Customer Service is amazing! Unfortunately my little girl is just not into them yet. She’s stubborn and a picky eater so we are trying! She didn’t want the freeze dried chicken hearts or the Dook soup either and now she loves them both so I have no doubt she’ll come around to this one also.

I've been using Pampered Ferret products since 2020. My ferrets love them! The chicken jerky treats have been a game changer for their oral health. My only issue has started recently. The pieces of chicken jerky have become so small that they have a hard time eating them and nearly a 1/4 of the product is basically tiny broken bits and bits that have crushed to powder. Unfortunately the same is happening with the chicken heart treats but to a greater extent. The new bottle for the salmon and coat oils are terrible. Can't get the last 1/8 of the product out of the bottles with the pump. You have to take the lid off and shake the bottles. Great products but an unfortunate change in quality and shopping experience. I will continue to support the Pampered Ferret because I believe in their mission, my noodles love their products, and TPF products have contributed to them being healthy happy geriatric ferrets. I just wish the quality was the same as it was in the earlier days.
