I've been using Pampered Ferret products since 2020. My ferrets love them! The chicken jerky treats have been a game changer for their oral health. My only issue has started recently. The pieces of chicken jerky have become so small that they have a hard time eating them and nearly a 1/4 of the product is basically tiny broken bits and bits that have crushed to powder. Unfortunately the same is happening with the chicken heart treats but to a greater extent. The new bottle for the salmon and coat oils are terrible. Can't get the last 1/8 of the product out of the bottles with the pump. You have to take the lid off and shake the bottles. Great products but an unfortunate change in quality and shopping experience. I will continue to support the Pampered Ferret because I believe in their mission, my noodles love their products, and TPF products have contributed to them being healthy happy geriatric ferrets. I just wish the quality was the same as it was in the earlier days.
My little girl love dook soup!! I'm convinced it's what keeps her healthy & happy...We give it 2x a day then supplement with kibbles ..Her coat is soft and eyes bright & energy good...
Thank you, Pampered ferret!!!!
My ferret absolutely loves these treats and would probably eat an entire bag in one sitting if he could! It would be nice if the chicken was cut into pieces like the salmon treats though. Also, the past few bags have been mostly powder which he won’t eat, otherwise it’d be 5 stars. Hopefully the next few I’ve just ordered will be better because my little guy gets pretty moody when we run out of his snacks!
My little girls love this product it makes their coat soft and shiny also less itching and more time playing. Great product that every owner should have 👍🏻
After a week of trying to get our ferrets to try it, one of the ferrets finally tried it, and instantly became addicted! Didn't take long for the other ferrets to give it a try!
My ferrets have started to stop eat these due to them being very hard and something that I cannot break, even when two pieces are stuck together. Each bag will vary in hardness now.
Thanks so much for your feedback, Samantha. We personally read each of our reviews and want to do our best to help anytime we can!
The variation you noticed between bags comes from natural differences in the meat itself. Duck breast thickness, fat content, and moisture levels all affect final texture after air-drying. We source from farms, not factory processors, so each batch reflects the actual birds. That's also why the flavor and nutrition stay so good.
If you'd like to exchange these for our freeze-dried treats (which are softer), just send us an email at support@thepamperedferret.com and we will take care of that for you!
My Chrissy loves this salmon oil and looks forward to having it in her food
everyday. I've been giving it to her for years now. It's healthy for her and a great treat.
It makes getting that one on one time with my tank tank he sits on my left arm as I use the dropper to put the pil into the crutch of my finger for him to lick it up we luv it ty 😊
Beef hearts are a great supplemental treat and also doubles as an enticer for my ailing baby girl. Well worth having for my babies. All products from Pampered Ferret are incredible!
Buyer beware!! We received a bottle and the oil was all oxidized; instead of being orange in color, it was all white. And it stunk!! Gross!!
I'm so sorry this was your experience.
Our salmon oil is sourced from wild-caught Icelandic and Norwegian salmon and is produced to human-grade omega-3 standards. That means it goes through a higher level of refinement to remove impurities and concentrate the beneficial fatty acids, rather than the lower-grade bulk oils commonly used in pet products.
Because it’s a natural product from wild fish, the color can vary from batch to batch and is often a lighter yellow rather than the deep orange many people expect. That difference comes from species, diet, and sourcing region, not quality.
That said, it should never have a strong or foul odor. If what you received smelled off, that’s not acceptable and we want to make it right.
Please reach out to us directly and we’ll send a replacement right away!
I found my little girl last September on my back porch under my chair. I just went out to go water my tomatoes in there she was laying under my chair in the hot sun. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Poor thing was barely alive so there was no way I was gonna just leave her there so I ended up taking her and bought her a really nice cage and only feed her is food from The pampered Ferrit. She loves all the treats. She loves the Dook soup. She just spoiled little girl now.
Ty Pampered Ferrit❤️
This ferret food is 100 percent all natural and highly recommended! This company specializes in the best for our ferrets. Even though my Scooter isn’t a fan of all I ordered, Yet!, I am slowly starting to change his diet to more healthy. The Pampered Ferret is my go to now!
I miss the paw print bath bombs. Half fill the kitchen sink, toss in a bomb, good to go. Now I gotta measure. Same great stuff, makes fuzzy real happy and less itchy on their quarterly baths.
So Monsieur Pepe Le Pew is a finicky ferret who had been a Marshall ferret, raised on their products. It was quite a feat to stir him to dook soup - which he gradually started nibbling on as his older brother LOOOOVED it. The one thing Pepe liked ( gobbled up ) were Pampered Ferret chicken hearts. Tried other treats but no, chicken or nothing. So hesitantly I ordered a trial pack of the bison heart pieces - Pepe is in gourmet heaven. He could munch them all day long and primp and properly waits in the morning for his ‘wake up’ treat ( and the in between play treat, the go to bed treat… ). Pepe has forgotten the Marshall upbringing and is a happy raw plus Pampered dook, chicken and bison connoisseur. So all paws up!
Our rescued ferrets have some thin hair in spots and very dry skin. Almost instantly we saw a difference! Their coats are shining, less odor and over the past couple of weeks their hair is thicker! They seem to get enjoy the taste too! The coat oil is a must, especially when it’s dry.
Both our rescue ferrets love the salmon oil! Great distraction when clipping their nails and nice treat in their food dish to encourage eating. They need to gain some weight, this is helping!💗 Great product!
